Excellent news! The Colorado Supreme Court has ruled that Donald Trump is ineligible to run for president. David Waldman wasn’t that sure he could do a whole show on the subject, but he underestimates himself.

The folks who normally hold the Constitution as gospel and vice versa, and who also remind us that the US isn’t a democracy but a republic, suddenly have a problem with this particular Constitution. It also seems that the Founding Fathers, Et Al. who couldn’t foresee a guy like Donald Trump, kind of did at that. The Colorado Supremes weren’t asleep in their law or history classes, either. SCOTUS will really earn their pay if they can fish Donald out of this one.

The pro-Trumpers who applied for a National Park Service permit purposely left out any mention of what they were planning to do because they and Donald Trump really wanted it to be a surprise. The Confederate soldiers and WWIII cosplayers in attendance were a bit of a spoiler, however.

On a related note, in Alabama, Tommy Tuberville finally surrendered in his war against the United States military.

On the KITM Holiday Countdown we’re running out of holidays to count down. As it is Tuesday, we did count down the minutes till David Waldman welcomed Joan McCarter, but didn’t expect her to bring many glad tidings. The Gop has no Christmas joy to send Ukraine. Germany will be permanently deploying troops for the first time since World War II.

Leonard Leo will make sure Supreme Court stockings are overflowing this year, as he has in years before. Clarence Thomas will continue to ho-ho-ho for billionaires, but won’t expect anything nice from his sister. (Actually, he probably does.) The court is probably wrapping their secret Santa gift for Donald Trump as we speak. (They’ll never top the one Sandra Day O'Connor gave W.)

Trump’s Hope Hicks 2.0, Alina Habba, demands that the Supreme Court intervene and also stay out of Trump prosecutions. Alina convinced Trump that being sanctioned a million dollars is winning. How does she do it?

How does Clarence Thomas do it? Shortly after he notched the Supreme Court gig, Thomas’ fancy turned from ladies around the office to a love more profound and enduring, the devotion of a good sugar daddy.

Sometimes things aren’t so complicated. CNN reports that a collection of raw Russian intelligence disappeared under Donald Trump, which is exactly where most would predict it would disappear. Donald lost a full 10 inches of highly classified information on the Russia Russia Russian interference on the 2016 elections, which Trump planned to declassify, but apparently just forgetting it was easier.

Stochastic terrorism would be a cinch for Trump because there are so many ready to help him out for free. As Donald will tell you though, just being associated with the Trump name should be enough for anybody. Where would convicted criminal and alleged stalker Brock William Fredin be without the Trump boost?

The Dow is surging with the Joementum of Bidenomics. Is Jerome Powell’s Fed pulling off a soft landing? Stock and Bond markets sure think so. Remember, never give your money to Republicans to handle. Reality continues to outperform vibes.

That won’t matter to MAGA. Gops have no foundation for impeachment, but why worry when they only need it for a few months and everyone involved is disposable? If anyone on Team Trump isn’t a criminal already, they will be one shortly.

Meanwhile, people still debate whether the Boston Tea Partiers are actually criminals or just very naughty cosplayers.

The Supreme Court will hear a challenge to an obstruction law used on January 6th insurrectionists. It all depends on what their definition of corruption, is.

Special counsel Jack Smith made a gutsy move to ask the Supreme Court to decide whether Donald Trump has absolute immunity before he spends any more time prosecuting him. It seems like a simple decision, but the Supremes could make it pretty complicated. Trump lawyers want to immediately halt, and/or immediately review any immunity decision, depending upon the immunity decision.

Democrats lose some, win some with redistricting. Winning is better. Republicans do not want to talk about the Kate Cox abortion case. Everyone told Donald Trump about fake electors, now the fake electors have to tell it to the judge.

Remember Jack Teixeira, the Air National Guard member who looked 12 years old, and who was trying to impress actual 12-year-olds by letting them peek at his collection of military secrets? If you are the kind of person who would read this summary you might, if you aren’t, you… would not.

There are oh so many reasons to vote for Joe Biden in 2024. There are also, apparently a couple of reasons people have to not make that choice, including being as stupid AF. Perhaps voters need to be reminded that the other choice would be Donald Trump. Retired Republican members of Congress attitudes are unsurprisingly different from the idiots who used to pay their bills. Those who still need MAGA millions have to keep doing things like pretend to impeach Joe Biden, even if it means impeaching Joe Biden. Withholding funds on Ukraine might be an effective troll on Joe Biden, but Dems aren’t the only thing that might be triggered.

Donald Trump’s plan for the last 50 years has been to postpone justice for his actions until he’s dead.  So far, so good, I guess, but it would be nice if someone could find a way to hurry him along. Jack Smith just might have come up with a way to short-circuit Trump’s endless postponements of his March 4 criminal trial. On Monday, Smith asked the Supreme Court to step in to decide Trump’s presidential immunity appeal directly, and it looks as if the Supreme Court will decide on something somewhat soon.

The Electronic Registration Information Center, aka ERIC was a bipartisan solution to voter fraud, until Republicans started to really dig voter fraud, and hankered for a solution that prioritized what they wanted over their depressing reality. This turns out to be exactly the thing AI is best at.

David Waldman awoke from his long winter’s nap this Hanukkah Eve morning to activate the mighty KITM World Headquarters bank of computers. One of those slept in until about 9:02. Greg Dworkin, punctual as ever, actually managed to sleep after witnessing the best the Gop has to offer in their final presidential debate. 4 losers entered the debate stage last night. 4 losers left at the end. Nikki Haley didn't remotely win then, and has no chance of winning now, but did lose the least. Sentimental favorite Chris Christie delivered accountability and culpability to the debate, and you can guess how that went.                                                    The winner, of course was the party’s biggest loser, Donald Trump, whom it would be pointless to debate as he is not running for president. The Donald is presently putting together a staff portfolio more appropriate to hang in a post office, or perhaps a service station outside a piazza. Still, even though he’s probably just being sarcastic, Trump continues to claim that he is “a candidate”. Hopefully the Colorado Supreme Court can explain that joke. Trump tells his followers to stand back, stand by, get ready to ram the ramparts and guard the vote.                                                                                                                                        You may recognize the candidate for George Santo’s now empty congressional seat by all the red circles pointing him out on January 6. Had this guy known Congress was a thing, he would have run for office long ago. What insurrectionist will get Kevin McCarthy’s old office? How about Matt Gaetz’s? Now, Nevada Gops are being charged with felonies for being fake electors. Want to know more?
