If you're anything like me, as soon as Christmas was over, you were dreaming of holidays and browsing for bargain flights to far-flung places. I've texted at least two different sets of friends about weekends away too. So I wanted to focus on family holidays and speak to a guest who is a bit of an expert on going away with kids.

Katie Ellison is a mum of three children and runs family lifestyle and travel blog Mummy Daddy Me. She was named by Family Traveller magazine as the top Family Travel Blogger and has also won lots of other awards for her beautiful photography and videos.

A couple of months ago, I was flown out to Orlando with Universal Orlando Resort for a week of theme park fun with my family, and Katie just happened to be out there, on a separate trip with her family. So I seized the opportunity to chat to her about family travel, and get her tips on flying with small children, her top destinations and some funny disasters she's dealt with too.
