Kyla Cutts joins me on this episode of Moony Birth Stories to share the story of her son Owen's birth. Kyla and her husband took about 5 months to get pregnant and she had a relatively smooth pregnancy. Being a large animal veterinarian, she struggled with her nausea at the beginning having to be around many undesirable smells. For this reason, she started medication to help with it quite early and was able to stop using it in her second trimester. When Kyla was over a week overdue, her water broke at home and it was time! She shares the details of her hospital birth and then talks more about their struggles postpartum. Owen ended up having dietary issues involving allergies and intolerances which made it very challenging to keep him gaining weight. Kyla goes into detail about how they navigated these challenges and what the outcome was.
