Not everyone gets diagnosed with ADHD as a child. Increasingly, more and more adults and mothers are getting diagnosed later in life. Diann is a mother, has children with ADHD, and is an experienced therapist with over 20 years in the field, yet, she just recently learned she too has ADHD. Like many people, Diann knew she was different, but she blamed herself for relationship difficulties and tendencies that made life challenging at times. At age 60, Diann finally received an ADHD diagnosis. In this episode, Aaron interviews Diann about her experience about what it was like getting diagnosed later in life or as she likes to say, “Coming late to the party.”
