Senator Turner welcomes 35-year veteran educator and author, Mary Cole Watson to #HelloSomebody to discuss her book, “Wisdom Warriors.” A series of 22 educational stories, this book seeks to empower young African-American readers with factual and historical knowledge to dispel social stereotypes and rhetoric that keeps them from reaching their full potential. Both SNT and Mrs. Watson share some personal stories from their own youth that contributed to the type of pain @thewisdomwarriors works to heal. Listen in for a lovely conversation.
