Last Week, comments by Frank Hester, a long term Millionaire Tory Donor surfaced in which he called for Diane Abbot MP to be shot and stated that seeing her on television, made him want to hate all Black Women. We, along with many others, were infuriated by his comments but also deeply hurt that Frank Hester’s views are all too common and that this episode is not a new experience or a “one off” occurrence for us as Black Women.In this episode, Chan and Nats sit down to talk about how these comments about Diane Abbott MP, the first black woman to be elected as a member of parliament in 1986, have impacted us and how we move forward when we are dealing with Frank Hesters in our working environment.
