Children’s Mental Health Week takes place from 5-11 February 2024 in the UK and this year's theme is ‘My Voice Matters’. It was set up by children’s mental health charity Place2Be and shines a spotlight on the importance of children and young people’s mental health. My Voice Matters is about empowering children and young people by providing them with the tools they need to express themselves.

Today I'm revisiting an episode I released in May 2022, as I thought it would be helpful for parents, grandparents, teachers and anyone wanting to understand how to support children's mental health.

I'll discuss what mental health is, why we keep hearing about rising numbers, what are the common factors, and if some children are more likely to have issues with it. I'll then share my top 5 tips on how we can best equip our children to safeguard their mental health.
