We live in a society where we are always forced to be successful but what is the true meaning of being successful in life? I always talk about it success comes in different meanings for everyone. For some, it is about having a family, for others, it is about having a successful career, and for me, it is about freedom and being able to live my life the way I’ve always wanted to. There is no right or wrong in life, we are allowed to experiment and work slowly until we find the perfect meaning of success that suits our principles and beliefs in life. Do not listen what others say, always follow your own instincts, it is your own life and you love it the way you want you to.

My life lately has been both rainbows and storms, it wasn’t easy to move to Madrid and

leave my businesses behind but I’ve always believed in technology; with the help of platforms like

Lazada, it empowered me to serve my passion, improve the lives of my employees, and add to the lives

of my consumers—all while running my businesses remotely.

As to what’s next for me as a fresh graduate? Of course, I am also lost like everyone but that is the

beauty of life and business, we learn through our own journey with the failures, challenges, and small

successes we achieve every single day to get where we aim to be.

I am graduating from top business school in Europe, it was a very hard journey and yet so fulfilling. Many people asked me what is next for me? My Answer: Nothing! Nobody said life is easy but there are greater things waiting for us when we don't give up and keep going no matter what challenges we face. I want to share this strength of mine with all of you, one thing made me successful is that I never gave up on anything, I am not used to living an easy life, I always crave challenges to keep going and stay motivated. Whenever life feels stagnant, i find new ways to learn and create greater opportunities for myself. I am only living one life and I don't want to live a life that I would great someday, I always tell myself that I want my future kids to be proud of their Mom. It has been always all or nothing for me, I go with all my power when I want something in my life, yes there is fear involved but my dreams weigh more than my doubts. If I can do it, you can do it too, I am here to tell you that let your failures guide you and never dim your light, embrace challenges and failures, you will bloom differently with adversities.

Failures will be always part of success even when society make us feel that making mistakes is not part of the formula. At the end of the day, as I always say, acceptance is key when life doesn’t go as planned. We have the power to bounce back no matter how bad life gets, we are capable of healing ourselves, dream all over again, and create better version of ourselves. We accept and heal differently — enjoy and embrace this to keep progressing and growing.

Remember that life will be always about how gracefully we restart and learn all the lessons we can.

There are days you will feel like a Rockstar and nothing can beat you down but some day it's normal that you just want to hide from the world. The challenge is not to stop and escape having insecurities but how to take care of ourselves and learn from our feelings every time we feel down. There are many external voices that would tell us we are not enough, only we can save ourselves, nobody is going to come us to fix us. Only we are capable of telling ourselves that we are going to be okay no matter how bad we feel about ourselves. Insecurities will never fade and go away but we have the power to confront our emotions and comfort ourselves every single day.

I never wanted to take a master’s, but going to IE changed my life, and now I understand that maybe I was meant to go to Madrid to do a meaningful task. I want to inspire you by making you believe that dreams give us strength, hope, and faith in our lives and where want to be, I strongly believe that when we are guided by our dreams we have a certain direction in life, produce better work, feel more grateful and we feel empowered to predict our future. Yes, chasing your dreams is very scary but as I always say, fear is just a reaction, but the choice of facing them every single day is a decision we make every single day until they become our strengths. Nobody is coming to save us, we have to do it ourselves.

We often feel stuck when we are not confident about our own journey, but trusting the process and being aware of our emotions helps us be mindful of how and where we want to be. I was lost for almost two years after the pandemic happened, but slowly I got myself back on track and decided to move to Madrid and see what else I am capable of doing in life. Everyone thought I was leaving Manila to get married to someone, but I left for myself and no external voices from the society can make me feel bad about myself and my journey because no one knows me and my dreams better than I do. So my question is, then why feel bad about yourself if you can be your own best friend to guide you?
