BT then spoke about what he’d been up to that week, a conversation that lead to a story about that time he started an almost catastrophic grass fire on the farm.

Finally, they were joined by former Prahran Football Club GM (Richard Smith) & Runner (John Clarkson) to do a deep dive on BT’s playing & coaching days at the club (1991-93), exposing some cracking tales including; bugging the away change rooms and the preseason camp that left several in hospital.

Instead, he’s now the main man on SBSs coverage of the Tour (and many other of the world’s biggest cycling events). Separate from his work as a broadcaster, Matt is humble, charismatic, an incredible storyteller and much like the rest of Australia, he has a great love of sport.
