The Los Angeles Angels HAVE PITCHING. Shocker, right? When it comes to the rotation, the Halos are led by their ace, Shohei Ohtani, added All-Star Tyler Anderson, and have young studs set to continue their positive career trajectories in Reid Detmers, Patrick Sandoval, and Jose Suarez. While those 5 starters will certainly be strong for the Angels, they implement a 6-man rotation, and they're still in need of that 6th man. Will the Angels look in-house for this starter? Today on Locked On Angels, we'll share the options the Halos have!

First, we'll take a look at Griffin Canning, who's returning from a back injury that took him out for the 2nd half of 2021 and all of 2022. Will he be healthy to start the season, and will the Angels use him as the 6th starter? We'll examine what Canning brings to the table if he is the starter in 2023!

Then, we Angel fans got a good look at Chase Silseth in 2022, who made a couple of starts with the Major League club before dominating in AA for the Trash Pandas. There's been a lot of chatter that he could be the 6th starter, so will the Angels count on Chase in 2023? Let's talk about it!

Plus, are there pitching options the Angels have not yet considered? We'll take a look at a few names available, such as Davis Daniel and Chris Rodriguez in segment 3!

The Los Angeles Angels found themselves quite a star and stud in Jared Walsh, and after his breakout in the shortened 2020 season, Walshy became an All-Star in 2021. Unfortunately, an injury hampered his production and shortened his season in 2022, and the First Baseman took the time to get surgery. Now, we're asking the question: should we be worried about Jared Walsh and his ability to return to form in 2023? In segment 1, we'll take you through his previous seasons with the Angels and recap what a strong season from Walsh looks like!

Then, we'll talk about two stats that may be concerning to fans that went against Walsh in 2022: strikeout and walk percentage. We're these changes in those stats the result of his injuries, or has the MLB begun to figure him out? We'll answer this question in segment 2!

Plus, we're giving you three reasons why you shouldn't be concerned for Walsh in 2023 and expect him to be the All-Star-caliber 1st Baseman he is capable of being next season!

The Los Angeles Angels are going to need their superstars this season if they have hopes of reaching the postseason, and the stars don't get any bigger for the Halos than Mike Trout, Anthony Rendon, and Shohei Ohtani! On today's Locked On Angels, we ask the question, how many games should these stars play, and how many will they play? In segment 1, we'll discuss Mike Trout, our hopes for his playing time, and make some comparisons to past players to help answer how many games we'd like to see Trout play.

Then, we all know Anthony Rendon's tenure with the Angels has been a bit of a letdown due to his injury issues, but we know how valuable he is to the team when he is healthy. Given the last two seasons and the problems he's dealt with, the Super Halo Bros. discuss how many games we might expect him to play, adjustments the team might make to compensate for his injuries, and much more!

Plus, we have to talk about the UNICORN, Shohei Ohtani! As he's redefined the game of baseball through his Angels career, we have to ask: how many games will Shohei Ohtani get into this year? His last two seasons have seen him play almost every game, and we expect that he'll want to do that again in 2023. With his will to win, his grit on the mound, and his power bat, will Ohtani once again play up to his lofty expectations that only he can hit? Let's discuss!

The Los Angeles Angels have had their share of important team pieces in the past, those who contribute in the small ways to help the superstars like Vladimir Guerrero, Mike Trout, and Shohei Ohtani shine! Today, we're going to explain why the haters are WRONG about David Fletcher, and why he will be a key piece to the Halos in 2023. We'll start by reviewing the shortstop position in 2022, where it ranked among the rest of the league, and determine what stats David Fletcher was responsible for. We'll show you how he will be an improvement over what we had in 2022.

Then, Angel fans know and love the table setters like Adam Kennedy, David Eckstein, and even "Mighty" Maicer Izturis, and we're going to show you how David Fletcher compares to these Halo Greats of the past. Do his stat lines hold up against some of the best role players the Angels have ever had? We'll run the numbers and show you why David Fletcher stands among some of the best from Halo history!

Plus, we'll break down all the stats and ask the important questions; what will David Fletcher bring to the table in 2023? What can we expect from him as part of this team that has both superstars and rounded out the roster in terms of depth, and how will he contribute? Hear our takes for what we can expect from David Fletcher next season!

The Los Angeles Angels have been working to improve the roster this off-season, and today, we're taking it one step further by putting YOUR trade suggestions into the Baseball Trade Simulator! While the Simulator evaluates players based on skill, age, and contract (including the number of years they have left), it's important to know that while it may not always evaluate the way MLB Front Offices might, it's a fun experiment that helps fans understand what it might take to net a top-of-the-line starter like Tyler Glasnow or a future prospect like the Yankees' Anthony Volpe! We're putting the players you'd like to see in Angels' red this season into the simulator, and we'll discuss the results and whether or not the Super Halo Bros. would make the trade, today on Locked On Angels!

The Los Angeles Angels have signed Utility Infielder Brandon Drury to a 2-year, $17 million dollar contract! He's a player the Super Halo Bros. have wanted for a while now, and now that he's here, he's bringing his versatility to the infield and the outfield, as well as a strong bat and OPS! We'll get into all the details, stats, and much more in segment 1!

Then, we'll discuss where Brandon Drury fits into the starting lineup and what kind of bat we can expect from him. In addition, does this change things at shortstop, and is there a chance Gio Urshela gets more time there than we anticipated? We'll talk about the options the Halos have moving forward and how riding the hot bat might be the key for the Angels in 2023.

Plus, with so many middle infielders, is this the time that the Halos make a move? There's a growing interest in Luis Rengifo around the league, and he's a piece that could help the Angels secure an area of need. We'll talk about the abundance of infielders and what that might mean for the future of some of the Angels!

The Los Angeles Angels missed out on making an improvement via free agency, as the big four free-agent shortstops, Carlos Correa, Dansby Swanson, Xander Bogaerts, and Trea Turner are now all spoken for. While Halo fans had their sights set on Dansby, he ended up signing with the Chicago Cubs over the weekend, dashing any hopes of making a big splash.

So, what now? On today's Locked On Angels, it's a MONDAY MAILBAG, and we're answering your questions on where the Angels should go next in order to have a successful off-season. Will they rely on in-house options? Will they make a shortstop improvement via trade? How about the starting rotation? Is it set, or are there moves to make there as well?

Well, the Super Halo Bros. are here for you, and we'll get into ALL your thoughts and questions on today's show!
