There is no good way to cut it the Twins got better, and the Indians are still sitting on their hands having added a fourth outfielder, a reliever, and a second baseman. The Twins have added one of the best players in baseball. We look at that move among others as the free agent market shrinks. We also look at the Braves who should be looking at the outfield market along with the Indians to find help while there is still starting talent out there.

Plus one of the last eight top 50 free agents signed so toon in to here where they are going. Of course not Cleveland, get real.

The Indians have still done nothing, and the free agent market has lost a few more names. We talk a about those moves, the lack of Indians moves, and then go back to talk about the draft as we look ahead to the 2020 MLB draft where the Indians will pick twice in the top 40 and three times in the top 70.

The Rays made a pair of trades that have ramifications on the Indians. They helped a pitching depleted Astros team get a pitcher with some of the best spin rates in baseball. Then they used their depth to add a pair of outfield bats either would start for the Indians next along with a high pick for an interesting pitching prospect. We talk about why this makes the Rays better than you might think. Why this could also open the door for the Indians to jump in on an Arenado to the Cardinals deal which only seems more likely after this trade.

We talk about the Nationals, what is left on the market and how the Indians must add one more bat. We talk a little draft as my first Big Board dropped today over on 247 sports. https://247sports.com/mlb/scouting/ContentGallery/Big-Board-10-141730798/#141730798_1

As has been the common theme on this pod within an hour of the last one posting two of the players mentioned signed. So we talk about those along with a host of other signings that happened over the weeked. We talk about how very little is left in free agency, and who could make some sense for the Indians. We talk about how even if Johnson works out to start the year, he won't service time, and even if Mercado has 0 regression and Reyes improves that nothing has changed that the Indians still must add a bat and right now the choices are very limited unless you want a slightly used Erc Thames, Alex Gordon, or Cameron Maybin.

We take some time to look at the signing of a former Indian. We talk about a move made by division rival the Chicago White Sox. After nothing happening at all on the first it was back to business as usual with a lot of moves being made. This podcast was recorded before the Will Harris signing is announced by the Nationals, so while I talk about him on the show it was about an hour before the news broke and the free agent market got even more sparse.
