We do a quick old friend alert. Then talk about some starter ranks, before talking about the Dodgers and Betts. Why this could be good for the Indians, and why I do not believe what is being reported. Of course as I do, the trade breaks in the middle of the podcast so get my thoughts during and after in what I think is a fun one. Also I had to record this one twice due to mic issues.

We start out by going back and talking about some first basemen of note that I missed from the Indians all time position group. Then we talk about Lindor's statement from fanfest and how it really shows that nothing has changed. We go a bit dark talking about ownership in the city, before trying to figure out why the Starling Marte trade did not happen after it was revealed the Indians did make an attempt to acquire the outfielder.

There were a bunch of minor signings around the league since the last podcast, three stood out in particular from my point of view. We talk about them all, then talk about an interesting Eno Sarris tweet, before flipping over to some all time Indians talk. We talk about the first base position and while the choice is obvious it is almost surprisingly obvious as first base has been one of the Indians weaker positions historically. We then look at DH and discuss who has excelled there since the position came to be, and talk about who we would put there if we could just take any bat ever. This leads to some Kenny Lofton love, most under appreciated Indian of my life time?

We talk about who spent the most money this offseason, and who did not. If you have been living under a rock the Indians are in the second group. We look into where the Indians will pick in the draft now that all the qualifying offer free agents are signed. We talk about how the Indians top four picks are all affected by these changes. We also look at the MLB top 100 prospect list which came out Friday and look at the two players who made the cut for the Indians.

Indians added four new names today three players and a coach. I might be a bit unfair to the coach who left his college team in the lurch three weeks out from their season opener. Two of the pitchers while not big names made me take the time and research. Gunner Leger is an interesting story, who joins the Indians at an odd time. Dominic Leone is a player I pushed for the Indians to add a few months ago. Here me talk about all 19 players plus two minors league additions and a coach. Stay tuned for my extra bit on the end for Paul Dolan's comments that make him impossible on any level to like.

We made it 200 episodes deep, and are starting a new series looking at catching depth for the Indians. Who do I think should start, where is the catcher in five years. Then time to look back through all the whole of Indians history to find the single greatest catcher in franchise history.

Finishing off our tour of the Majors we talk about the Blue Jays and Rays and why they are both teams that would make a lot of sense for trades both big and small with the Indians. We dig deep on two of the more talented and deep teams in the the American League from the majors to the minors.

This is a long one where we go over some mistakes from this week. Then we talk about the news as another top 50 free agent is off the market. Next I reveal the prospect for the 2020 draft I have been slow playing all week. Then I discuss why the Indians minors are a bit of a illusion in terms of the depth of prospects. Then I can't help but wade into the issues with ownership a bit at the end.
