This episode is focused on why the Indians might not do everything they can in terms of call ups to make their team better for this year at the cost of years in the future. We discuss several players on rehab starts, look into minor league promotions, and then look at the extremely tight wild-card race.

We look over the series victory over the Royals. We talk about the heart breaker today and spend some time to praise Franmil Reyes for his preference this weekend. Then we look at the standings, go over the series against the even lowlier Tigers. We talk about a pitching staff which is both better and worse than you think and explain why this is a must sweep for the Tribe. The second half is all about what JRAM's injury means, how long it will take to get him back, and who can fill in while he is on the shelf.

We talk about this ugly series against the Mets. We look at how badly the Indians have played since they took over leadership of the division for one 24 hours period. We look at schedules for the teams the Indians are chasing and who are chasing them. The Indians have the toughest schedule left and need to do better when facing teams that are over .500. We then do a quick trip down to AA and AAA to finish off our minor league talks this week.

Listen as I predict the loss as it happens. Point out how the Indians are being set up to lose and then lose a game they had the perfect chance to win. Then we lighten things up by looking at the weakest of the Indians minor league affiliates. Oh, wait that doesn't lighten up anything at all.

The Indians lose an ugly game to the Mets, we talk a little about Adam Cimber and his lack of luck before diving into the 40 man roster and what this team might look like come this offseason. There are five to six players in the discussion to be added and on the extreme end only five open spots. So we go over everyone on the roster and those who need to be added as a fun thought experiment for 2020.

It has been a while since we did a minor-league deep dive. So with no game today for the Indians we quickly scoreboard watch, then dig into Mahoning Valley and Lake County. We talk about the top five most interesting prospects at each level and who we are most excited to see continue to progress. Then we talk about the cases of Quentin Holmes and Will Benson and wonder aloud if they have not directly changed how the Indians have come to operate with top selections.

The Indians have gone 3-7 since they took over the division lead for a day. Since then the Twins have opened up a 2.5 game lead and the Rays and Athletics are now snapping at the Indians heels. The playoffs are not a guarantee and the Indians have a rough schedule shead over the next month or so. There was a lot of questionable managing over the weekend and I talk about that as well as previewing the Indians series with the Mets and looking at the teams the Indians are competing withs upcoming schedules.

The party for episode 100 got started early by the Indians who crushed the Yankees tonight by a score of 19-5. The Indians had seven home runs, and every single starter had a multi-hit game an occurrence I could not recall ever seeing before. We take some time to savor the performance and point out the recent great performances by Greg Allen. Then for the second half of the show, we have some more interviews from when I was at Akron this time with top prospect Nolan Jones, top lefty Kyle Nelson, and local product Mitch Longo.

The Indians had to go and lose to Brian Johnson and a struggling Red Sox pen. The losses today and yesterday put them behind the Twins with Rays snapping at their heels. We look at this terrible game, discuss the highlight of Logan Allen's Indians debut against the team that drafted him. We look at how the Twins have a significantly easier schedule than the Indians from here on out and why the Twins could rebuild that division lead over the next seven days. We look ahead to a rough matchup with the Yankees and then look at former Indian Gio Urshela to see if his performance will continue on, or if he might be this year's version of Jesus Aguilar.

Host Jeff Ellis is off the one-day disabled list, and back to talk about all things Indians. We talk about the last two games highlighting the performances of Reyes and Santana. We go deep on the Indians and their sick obsession with bunting. Then we look forward to Brian Johnson vs Carlos Santana tomorrow.
