The Indians lose to the Royals so they are now two back behind the Twins as they enter the difficult part of the schedule. Trevor Bauer has an epic meltdown which lead to people speculating his value is down, it's not. We look at the Stroman deal and what it means for the deadline. We discuss the deal the Indians made to acquire Hunter Wood and Christian Arroyo, and why that deal is more about 2020 than this year.

This podcast was recorded in the bottom of the 14th as the Indians would go on to victory. You can hear my concerns as the things looked grim before the Indians pulled it out. It was an odd game, with plenty to talk about outside of just it's length. We talk about the En Fuego Jose Ramirez, the performance by the pen, and some questionable decisions in the top of the 14th. Then we go into details about the trade deadline and look at the Oakland Athletics in particular.

The Indians win again thanks to a brilliant outing by Shane Bieber. He had a no-hitter going until late and still ended up with a complete-game shutout. He allowed just three base runners one got hit, one walked, and one hit. It was another strong performance for the Indians ace. Greg Allen continues to impress as well with a three for four night. Then we go deep on the Phillies and explain why a Trevor Bauer to the Phillies deal makes no sense.

The Indians offense gets dominated by a pitcher who has struggled all year. Trevor Bauer is brilliant but the Indians still lose. We talk about the trade deadline, and how with the Giants surging the Reds are a major fulcrum point for the deadline and discuss how the Indians should be contacting the Reds right now about adding a bat who could help out the lineup, and force Tito to take Kipnis out of the cleanup spot forever.

The Indians beat the Blue Jays after taking two of three from the Royals. The Twins division lead keeps shrinking, and the Indians WIld Card lead keeps growing, Everything is clicking right now, and I am gitty at the continued performance of Jose Ramirez after his struggles over the past months. We talk about potential players on the move as the trade deadline is little more than a week away.

The Indians sweep the Tigers and get ready to face the Royals. While the Twins face the A's in a series where no matter what happens it is good for the Tribe. We talk about the collapse of Matt Boyd for the Tigers. The fact Bauer pitched well, but likely did not help his value. We discuss how the Indians can not even consider trading Brad Hand, talk about the pitching injury issues in the minors. Then focus on the big faller this year Triston McKenzie and the big riser Daniel Johnson.

The Indians have cut down the distance to just four games between the Twins and them. The Indians are facing bottom feeders and the Twins playoff squads. The Indians have a legitimate chance to take over a division lead before the end of July. Mike Clevinger was brilliant again, and Jose Rameriz continues to surge. After the break, we dive into Mahoning Valley, the most interesting affiliate for my money this year.

Only the elements could stop the Indians on Tuesday. They beat the Tigers eight to nothing allowing just one hit and one walk in the game. As fun as this game was to watch, at least when it was halted due to a rain delay I was more intrigued by the minors on Tuesday. Eli Morgan with his second promotion of the year. Nolan Jones goes deep for the second time in two games. Danny Salazar on the mound in AA. There was a lot to talk about and look into for the podcast today.

The Indians beat the Tigers in spite of the second multi-home run game of Jordy Mercer's career. We dig into how well JRAM has hit in the month of July. We talk about the hard-luck of Coday Anderson, and newest Indian Phil Maton. Then we dig into stat cast, to see who has been some of the most and least effective hitters on the Indians. Yes, it is exactly who you think it has been, oh and I complain about lineup construction yet again. It still stinks

The Indians lose two of three games to the Twins, but the upcoming schedule is still very easy for the Indians, setting them up to still gain ground. We go into bullpen failures, bad calls, and my own issues with Terry Francona's nonsensical lineup construction.
