The All-Star Game is in Cleveland for the first time since 1997, and just like then it is an Indian who takes home the MVP. Shane Bieber has been in the majors little more than a year and is already taking home hardware. It has been a meteoric rise for a great player and great person. Then we look at some players along with their potential cost the Indians could look to add if they become buyers before or at the trade deadline.

We look at the Indians first half and laugh a bit at those who left this team for dead. We discuss how the offense has gotten from historically bad to just meh. We discuss a pitching staff that has been beyond decimated this year. We take a second to wish Cookie Carrasco well and marvel at how well he pitched with leukemia this year before he was diagnosed. Then we talk about the volatility of the Indians minors. One player who is not volatile is Nolan Jones whose promotion to Akron gives people another reason to go.

The Indians get another win and gain even more ground on the Twins whose lead is down to 6.5 games. Carlos Santana goes yard again, as he continues to be one of the top hitters in baseball this year. A rebound performance by Mike Clevinger along with another strong performance by Roberto Perez helped lead the Indians to victory. We then talk about Nick Sandlin's injury, Andrew Velaquez and the Indians trade for him, and lastly a flyby of the AA RubberDucks.

On the podcast we talk about the International signing period, and why I tend to place less value on it than most. We discuss the Columbus Clippers which have had several top prospects hurt this year, really making the production of Daniel Johnson standout even more. We look at the Indians win in spite of struggles by Bauer due in part to the production of Bauers, Naquin, Santana, and Rameriz.

The Indians might have had an off day, but we soldier on. We take a moment to try and process the tragic loss of a great human being in Tyler Skaggs. It was a hard debate to mention it or not, but I wanted to honor what a great person he was. Then we try and discuss the Indians last five games before the break. Before ending with a June pitchers review, and still lamenting all the missed out Bauer to Padres deals that were discussed over the winter.

We first look over the very bad weekend the Indians had while facing the worst team in baseball. Then we go player by player looking at the Indians general uptick in offensive performance and how I would personally set the lineup card every day if I was the manager.
