Smith would score the go-ahead run from third on a wild pitch. He was called out initially, but the Red Sox challenged and the call at the plate was overturned.

Have a Series, Masa!: Masataka Yoshida hit his 6th Home Run of the season in the 3rd inning and that put the Red Sox up, 3-1, at the time. Yoshida came up with the bases loaded in the 6th and added to the Red Sox 1-run lead with a 2-out, 2-run single to make it 6-3. Yoshida with 2 hits & 3 RBIs Tuesday night and he has 6 Hits (3 2B & 1 HR) in the series.

Brayan's Night in KC: Brayan Bello gave up a 1st-Inning run Tuesday night and then settled in and worked 3 straight scoreless innings. Bello took the mound in the Bottom of the 5th with a 3-1 lead. He retired the 1st 2 hitters of the inning and then ran into trouble and did not make it out of the inning. Michael Massey touched him up for a a solo Home Run that made it a 1-run game. Bobby Witt Jr kept the inning alive with a Double and he scored the tying run on a Double from Vinny Pasquantino. Bello was lifted after he issued a walk to Salvador Perez. Bello ended up with his 4th straight no-decision.

Cam Booser retired the side in order in the home 7th Inning with 3 outs in the air and was removed after allowing a single to the leadoff hitter in the 8th. Luis Garcia gave up a 2-run Double to MJ Melenez and then came back and retired the next 2 hitters. Alex Cora went to Kenley Jansen and he struck out Maikel Garcia to end the inning and strand the potential tying run at 3rd-Base.
