The Red Sox could not finish off their series sweep against the Texas Rangers Wednesday night, and ended up losing the finale, 9-7, in 10 Innings. The Sox were 1 out away from securing the win, but Wyatt Langford tied the game at 7 in the 9th Inning with a 2-out, 3-run Home Run off of Josh Winckowski. The Red Sox went 2-4 on their Home Stand against Houston and Texas.

Tanner's Night: Tanner Houck got the nod in the series finale Wednesday night and worked into the 7th Inning. Houck allowed a run in the Top of the 2nd Inning and then worked 3 straight scoreless innings. The Rangers tied the game up at 2-2 against Houck in the 6th Inning on a solo Home Run from Adolis Garcia. It was just the 9th Home Run allowed this season by Houck. Houck got the 1st 2 outs in the 7th, but exited with 2 runners on base after he gave up a 2-out walk to Corey Seager. Brennan Bernardino entered and got the 3rd out to strand the 2 base runners. Houck left with the led and was in line for the win, but the Rangers evened up the game in the 8th inning and Houck took his 3rd no-decision in his last 5 outings.
