Four years ago, the future looked bright for the Chicago White Sox. Now, the current state of the White Sox is just sad. It is also sad seeing how quickly core players from the 2021 AL Central Division-winning team has declined.

Host Todd Welter goes over how Tim Anderson, the face of the franchise four years ago, has declined so rapidly that he is barely hanging on to a big-league career. Jose Abreu is out of baseball and not likely to get in. Eloy Jimenez and Yoan Moncada's careers are hanging by a thread.

Todd also discusses why that is important for the franchise to make sure drafts and international free agent signings go well along with developing those players going forward because sustaining success can be hard.

Then, James Karinchek signed a minor-league deal with an invite to camp. If he is healthy, he could be the team's next closer based on his production in the past.

Finally, the club announced some neat promotional giveaways. Todd discusses why it might be worth checking out at a game at the Rate this season.

The Chicago White Sox could have taken Riley Greene, CJ Abrams, or Josh Jung in the 2019 draft instead of Andrew Vaughn. Since Andrew Vaughn has been a replacement-level player in his four years on the Southside, it is worth looking into if the Sox would be on a different trajectory had they gone with those options instead of a first baseman.

Listen to host Todd Welter breakdown why the drafting of Vaughn over those three players was flawed and never produced a second wave of elite prospects during the competitive window.

Then Todd dives into why pitching legend Mark Buehrle will never get voted into the Hall of Fame by the BBWAA. Finally, it is a Minor League Monday. Todd discusses the latest MLB Pipeline Top 100 rankings involving six White Sox prospects getting listed.

Chicago White Sox GM Chris Getz is making the media rounds to promote SoxFest. He talked about Luis Robert Jr's current trade market and it sounds like the team All-Star outfielder is likely staying on the Southside at least to start the season.

Host Todd Welter goes over Getz's comments and why it makes sense to keep Luis Robert Jr at least until the trade deadline. Then Todd discusses how Getz thinks he did some heavy lifting in free agency when signing players to one-year deals does not really reflect that. Finally, the team's non-roster invites has been released. Hear which five players you should pay attention to among that group.
