The Athletic had another Chicago White Sox story. It was not involving the future control of the team. Instead, it focused on the process general manager Chris Getz used to hire Will Venable. In that piece, it provided insight into how these two could be the right leadership duo to get the team back to being competitive.

Then host Todd Welter goes off some early warning signs in spring training that the team could be set up for another historic losing season. Finally, it is Wayback Wednesday going over some of Todd's favorite Opening Day starts.

More details have emerged regarding the report of Justin Ishbia abandoning his pursuit of buying the Minnesota Twins with the intention to increase his minority stake in the Chicago White Sox. A couple reports mention that Ishbia's involvement could help the team provide more private money toward building a new ballpark on the vacant land known as the 78. If that happens, the state of Illinois likely would be willing to provide some public funds. The news could also mean Ishbia still eventually becomes the team's next owner just not right now.

Then the White Sox got crushed in the third spring training game by the Texas Rangers. A lot of the terrible trends from last season have already emerged in the first three games.

Finally, manager Will Venable has stated Miguel Vargas is the team's primary third baseman. Host Todd Welter discusses if that is a good idea to already declare that position battle over.

Chicago White Sox general manager Chris Getz is differentiating from his predecessors Kenny Williams and Rick Hahn by not paying any of these top 100 prospects before they have proven they belong in the big leagues. Williams and Hahn paying Eloy Jimenez, Yoan Moncada, and Luis Robert Jr. despite not being proven helped cripple this franchise. That is why Getz's stance is smart.

Host Todd Welter then goes over the White Sox need to put all their spring training games on CHSN, the station they own. The big reason is viewership for Chicago Sports Network is down because the channel is not on Comcast yet.

Finally, it is a Wayback Wednesday that shows appreciation for 2005 World Series hero Bobby Jenks who revealed he is battling stage 4 stomach cancer.

The Chicago White Sox front office maintained this was not the offseason to spend big in free agency despite coming off a record 121 losses. While it actually does make sense, the Sox may have been a too frugal where they will regret not spending just a tick more to get better players to be better in the margins.

Then host Todd Welter addresses the best place to bat Luis Robert Jr. in the lineup this year if he is not traded. He goes over why it should not be in the three-hole. Finally, the Sox claimed former top-100 prospect Owen White. He may have failed with the Texas Rangers, but it makes sense for the Sox to see if he can still reach his potential.
