Lodestone just held its CQB Two course. It was an extremely rewarding course for both the students and instructors. During the numerous AARs throughout the course, students had questions about videos and social media posts that they have seen. Some are good. Others are just full of bad ideas. 

In this episode, Jared talks a little about the course, but spends most of the time addressing CQB training as a whole. There are good instructors and companies out there like us, who know how to teach this. But the number of charlatans peddling the "best" CQB techniques from the good idea fairy far outnumber us. Jared explains why he's a subject matter expert and talks about general truths of CQB. He expounds on things to look out for if you are interested in this type of training. This episode is one to listen to a few times and to share.

Jared recently spent a week volunteering at a young men's camp. He was asked to teach a workshop on self defense. He talks about it and the importance of doing hard things. He also talks a little about current events and the need to stay alert.

We recently held the Urban Avalanche training event. Jared talks about this unique course where the participants experience societal collapse. They had to use skills taught in Lodestone classes: land nav, urban survival, cache placement and recovery, urban evasion, SUT, and others. He shares some stories and lessons learned by the students. Lodestone just finished up the Six-Day SFAUC Flat Range. Jared and Mike talk about the history and intent of this course. It is a school for gun fighting, not how to shoot balloons faster than the next guy. They also get into the specifics of the course.
