Mad Times With Madison

In the summer of 1978, young Mary Vincent set out to hitchhike to Los Angeles to stay with her grandfather. Unfortunately the car that picked up Mary belonged to 51 year old Lawrence Singleton. This ride changed Mary's life forever. In this truly heartbreaking and horrid case, it makes you question everything. How could the justice system fail this hard, can you ever trust someone based on looks, and recovery from your trauma isn't a straight line forward. Let us know what you think!

*We know this is going to be close to home, as a lot of our listeners at the time of publishing are local to us. We reached out to Sierah's family and received permission to cover this heinous crime, and it was pre-screened by her sister Kayla, who very graciously gave us her time. Thank you guys.*

-

In 2016 Sierah left her boyfriend Josh's home on her bike in the small country town of Delta Ohio. She never arrived home. We take you through the very efficient investigation and great police work. However, we reveal a terrible fact about this monster that makes you wonder how something like this could happen twice.

-

Sierahs family has worked endlessly to keep her legacy alive, and make sure this never happens again. Please support them here, if we learned anything from this case it's that monsters are everywhere and it can happen to anyone, even smart badass aware women like Sierah.

This week Madison covers the topic of Dirty John: Betty. Which is the worst TV show name of all time. Betty and Dan Broderick met when she was in high school, they came from hard working catholic families, and were so similar. They got married, had babies, and struggled until Dan hit the big leagues in his career. But right when they got the success, everything started to fall apart. Listen to what was called one of the messiest divorces of all time, and find out how it call came to a shocking end. What do you think of the case? Premeditated or no?

This one for you Hannah! We dive into our first listener suggestion this week with the murder of Jamie Kirk Hahn. Jamie and Nation Hahn were two of the most loving people ever. Jamie and Nation had a very close friend Jonathan Broyhill. He worked for Jamie, he was the best man at their wedding, he even lived with them at some point, so how and why did this betrayal happen?  This case has embezzlement, fake illnesses, and murder. Buckle up you little freaks, this one is jaw dropping.

*Trigger warning* This case deals with the sexual assault of the child

The conclusion to this shocking case where a high school football star, Greg Kelley, was accused and jailed for an allegation of super aggravated sexual assault of a child. The corruption and botched investigation were revealed in part one. However, part two isn't so cut and dry either. More lies, deceit, backstabbing, and tears fill this episode before the conclusion. What do you think of the final ruling? What did you think of the investigation?

*Trigger warning* This case deals with the sexual assault of the child

Greg Kelley, the subject of the Showtime docu-series Outcry, was a student at Leander High School in Texas. He was a football star, was dating the girl of his dreams, and just accepted a full ride scholarship to UTSA. The rug was pulled out from underneath him when he was accused of super aggravated sexual assault of a child, a crime he is insistent he did not commit. In part one of our two part episode, follow us on this six year journey of twists, turns, and botched investigations. Is Greg innocent? If he is innocent, who did this? Trust me, you're not going to believe some of this.

In 2007 Joshua Komisarjevsky and Steven Hayes followed Jennifer Petit and her 11 year old daughter home from the grocery store. They decided their house was the perfect house to rob and make some money. So how did a planned home invasion, in the middle of the night, turn into something so horrific? Taryn breaks down what happened for us this week on Almost.

Danny Rolling was a serial killer who murdered five University of Florida students in the matter of a week. We talk about his childhood that may have shaped him into this terrible monster, and all the events leading up to the Gainesville murders. Stick around to the end for a crazy pop culture tie in!

This week Taryn takes us on the wild ride of the abuse of Gypsy Rose Blanchard(e), and the murder of her mother Dee Dee. Gypsy was a sick, frail, little girl with several disabilities who relied on her mother's care....or was she? Where did it all go wrong? And why were there so many lies? Tune in to find out! We moved our studio inside this week, permanently, and I think the sound quality shows. Thank you for sticking with us while we figured it out!
