Selling a “luxury home” is the dream for anyone with a real estate license, but there are SO many misconceptions. We grew up watching movies and TV shows with gorgeous, never-ending mansions. We now scroll Instagram oogling over luxury homes. We all do it, whether you’re a real estate agent or not. Just look at the popularity of the Million Dollar Listing tv show. Before that it was MTV Cribs, the Fabulous Life, and Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous.
But how about SELLING a luxury home? How does the average Realtor break in to the luxury real estate game? What makes a real estate agent “worthy” of selling Million Dollar homes? Realtors who don’t regularly sell "million dollar listings” have somehow convinced ourselves that we can’t be luxury real estate agents too. “Selling luxury real estate takes a certain kind of person, right?"
This week we’re joined by THE Luxury Listing Specialist himself, Michael Lafido. Michael is the founder and creator of the Luxury Listing Specialist certification and podcast. At the time of recording, Michael is listing the home of TV’s Luscious Lyons from the show Empire. It’s a $9.5 Million home outside Chicago. He also had to cut the interview short to go show a buyer a $3.75 Million home. Suffice it to say, Michael Lafido knows how to sell luxury homes, and he’s sharing his tips and best practices with you all this week.
Michael shares exactly what he did when he first became an agent to start selling luxury homes, and how you can do it as well. After he breaks down the roadmap for breaking in to the luxury market as a Realtor, you’ll walk away feeling empowered and that by making a few adjustments to your actions and mindset, you too can start selling luxury homes.
