Producer Fredward joins Kelly and Lizz for another maternity-leave episode of the Carpool podcast. The gals are playing with nicknames for the babe and Lizz has exciting gender reveal news to share!

Situationship is today’s millennial word of the day. Which is what the Gen Zers are calling their connections when they're sort of talking, sort of dating, sort of a thing, but also…sort of not. Kelly’s boomer idiom for Lizz is “don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater.”

Kelly’s driveway dump is packed with goodies from her week alone at home with Fred. First up, Mulan, a movie truly ahead of its time. Next, Liquid IV is cornering the mocktail market on Instagram with their impressive add-ins like egg whites and sugared grapefruit. Give them a follow! Kelly and Lizz both love on the idea of moms having other moms’ backs in the parking lot whether they’re loading up or just can’t return a cart when they’ve got kids in tow. Kelly brings a little celeb news with the unremarkable Marie Kondo report, a surprisingly cluttered Julia Fox apartment tour, and Kylie Jenner’s baby name. To wrap up the segment, a rant about how bubble makeup headbands are making Kelly irrationally upset and Kelly starts her hair care journey with advice from Kathleen Post and Mary Orton.

In industry news a new SUV has been released, the Mazda CX 90 with a plug-in hybrid option and third row seats that supposedly accommodate up to 8 people. Kelly says the former CX 9 was good value for a lot of tech, but not the best space for the money. Will the CX 90 surprise and delight or be about the same?

On today’s ditch the drive-through Kelly shares her favorite foods that friends and family have brought her so that she could live off of something other than her pregnancy and postpartum favorite, Culvers. Topping the list are mom’s egg casserole, a big plate of cookies, asian inspired chicken and blanched veggies, homemade pizza, and a Trader Joe’s freezer haul. 

Lizz plugs an Oreo-gate update that gluten-free double stuffed Oreos are the real winners.
