What do I need right now? 

This has become one of my favorite questions to ask myself,

When I’m feeling overwhelmed,

Stressed, 

Angry,

Or sad. 

PAUSE…

It slows me down, 

And shifts me softly out of the emotion,

And into the arms of gentle self-love. 

PAUSE…

Being mindful of our needs, 

Is the first step in consciously creating lives we love. 

PAUSE…

So let’s take a moment to simply sit with this question for a bit. 

What do I need right now? 

LONG PAUSE…

Here in this open space,

Invite yourself to imagine the needs you have in your life,

The boundaries that protect those needs,

And the habits that support them. 

LONG PAUSE…

If there are holes and imperfections here,

It’s okay. 

Simply become mindful of them. 

LONG PAUSE…

You deserve to honor your needs.

And it’s okay to voice your needs.

It is okay to prioritize you.
