Michael shares about his formative experience as a conscientious objector during the Vietnam War, and how the confinement, isolation, and trauma that he endured informed his spiritual development and life philosophy.

He and Thomas look at the current uncertain state of the world where old structures are collapsing as a liminal space where the new world has not yet been born. Michael argues that healing and evolving into a better world requires us to be present with conflict, sustain soulful connections, maintain creative and contemplative practices, and find the courage from our heart to lean into our authentic, imperfect selves.
