Alcohol is EVERYWHERE – there is nowhere to hide. But drinking is legal-so what’s the big deal? The issue is when you drink and drive. The question at the beginning of the day should be – how will I get home after I drink?
Today, Margot discusses 5 cases where a military member made one idiotic decision to get behind the wheel of a 3k pound death mobile while intoxicated that resulted in someone’s death. The prison sentences were reasonably lengthy and for good reason.
Dig in with Margot as she discusses the cases against Marine Elijah Ferguson, Airman Lane Wyatt, Airman Anjelika Faul, Soldier Jesse Evans Jr., and Monty Janes (military branch unknown).
Margot will also discuss the resulting tragic deaths of Dr. Michael Sein, 20-year old Citari Townes-Sweatt, Retired-MSgt Michael David Brown, college students Kimberly Brin and Sierra Smith, and Soldier Michael Tungate.

John Battaglia Jr. was a handsome Marine veteran who used his looks and his charm to sweet talk women in his life. But there was a secret inside that he unleashed as soon as his wives were “trapped” in marriage with this monster. His first wife, Michelle Ward, a highly educated lawyer, suffered domestic abuse at his hands, while his second wife, Mary Jeane, a wealthy woman suffered both emotional and then later physical abuse at his hands.
John terrorized his estranged wives and then his ex-wives, but the real terror wouldn’t be against his unlucky ex-wives, his revenge would be against the most innocent of innocent.
Dig in with Margot as she discusses John Battaglia Jr.’s reign of terror on his family.
Warning: This episode contains discussion of domestic violence and violence against children. Listener discretion is advised.

In 2008, Marine Sergeant Janek Pawel Pietrzak and his beautiful wife Quiana Jenkins were just beginning their lives together as newlyweds. They had recently purchased a home, gotten married, and Sergeant P had just reenlisted in the Marines and accepted a $30k bonus. Life was good.
The Pietrzak’s were ready to take on the world, until they were brutally executed in their home, in French Valley, California. The murder scene was horrific and the murders appeared to be motivated by greed. Was the brutal murder committed by a stranger, or someone much closer to home?
Dig in with Margot as she discusses the murder investigation of Janek Pietrzak and Quiana Jenkins-Pietrzak, and the ensuing trials against the perpetrators.

Two cases today, one about a UK Army Veteran involved in a love triangle that left one person dead and one charged with murder. The other case involves a U.S. Navy love triangle that ends terribly when an estranged husband unexpectedly returns from work early.
Two juries in different continents consider the same question – were the deaths of the husbands a result of murder or a result of self-defense?
Dig in with Margot as she discusses the 2019 murder cases against UK Army Veteran Jeffrey Mills and Navy Sailor Dylan Poston.
This case discusses the deaths of Andrew Jenkins and Navy Sailor Anderson Lopes.

In early 2006, Marine Justin Huff was on a temporary assignment at Dam Neck Naval Station in Virginia Beach, Virginia. When he failed to show up for class on January 2, 2006, it seemed as if he vanished in the night. A catfishing game that went too far would soon be revealed as the culprit for his disappearance.
Dig in with Margot as she discusses the case against Navy Petty Officer Cooper Jackson.
Flub Fix: (1) Justin and Jake are the same person. Justin is the victim's first name and "Jake" is his nickname. Justin is used throughout the story, but there are a few spots where Margot calls him "Jake" instead - probably because his friends and family called him Jake. (2) Cooper Jackson is the subject's name. Cooper is used throughout the story, but there are a few spots where Margot calls him "Jackson" - probably because that's what he is referred as in some of the news articles. Sorry for the confusion!

In November 2006, Air Force Lt Nonnie Dotson was months away from separating from the Air Force. The week before Thanksgiving she flew from San Antonio, Texas to Littleton, Colorado, never to be seen again. She seemingly vanished into thin air, leaving behind her 16-month old baby girl.
There have been zero leads from the moment of her disappearance, but Nonnie was surrounded by sketchy characters. Could someone be hiding a dark secret? Dig in with Margot as she discusses the disappearance of Lt Nonnie Dotson.

In 1985, the family of an Air Force Captain (his wife and two of his three daughters) were found brutally murdered in their home in Fayetteville, NC. After an eye witness pointed at Sergeant Timothy Hennis as a suspect, he was quickly brought to justice. But the Eastburn Family Murders case would be riddled with various errors that would ultimately lead to Tim’s acquittal.
The case went cold, until 2005, when the case was reinvigorated by the cold case team. A DNA hit was made, but who was the perpetrator? This case will have you on the edge of your seat. Dig in with Margot as she discusses the case against Master Sergeant Timothy Hennis.
In 2019, this case is still relevant, as the Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces recently heard an appeal on October 22, 2019 (listen until the end of this episode for a quick update).

Welcome to Military Murder’s first international case out of Canada. This case made headlines in 2010. A Canadian Air Force Colonel burglarized countless homes, wore his victims’ underwear, and stalked his neighbors while they slept...but he wanted more.
Once burglary no longer quenched his thirst, his actions turned deadly. But for the keen interrogation by the Canadian investigators, this man would have been able to camouflage himself because of his status and rank.
Dig in with Margot as she discusses the case against Canadian Air Force Colonel Russell Williams.

This is the true story behind the 1993 decapitation at Sickles Army Airfield in Fulda, Germany.
In the series premiere of Military Murder, Margot digs into news articles and investigative files from the 1990s, to tell you what really happened on the afternoon of December 7, 1993. Because it was in front of the dining facility at Sickles where a soldier literally lost his head at the hands of another soldier.
Dig in with Margot as she discusses the murder of Gregory Glover and the case against Army Sergeant Stephen Schap.
