This is a screenshot from our first recording session. I was in Toronto visiting my mom who kept clanging pots and pans in her kitchen while asking me if I could “stop playing around on the computer.”
Because, ultimately? Girls just wanna have fun (thanks Cyndi) and by “fun” I mean… insisting on peace of mind for yourself, standing strong in your inherent worth, falling down in rip-roaring fits of laughter, eating good food, creating your own calming space, making a scene of all scenes, kissing people deeply, hugging your best friend, and making sure you have a never-ending supply of lip gloss (so important).
In other words, all the things that make you feel loved.
Because at the core of everything we say we want (a killer body, more money, a nice home, perfect children, a solid marriage), what we really want is to feel worthy of all the love in the world, especially our own.
Now, I don’t want you to get the idea that we’re going to get all touchy-feely-mushy on you. Although we don’t dishing a little sap, we’re more interested in delivering the truth of what it really takes to get your butt to Happy, a quaint little town just outside your comfort zone.
Susan and I share so many things in common, but this one is a biggie: You’ve got to do the deep emotional work it takes to create lasting change in your life, whether it’s your body or your friendships or your business.
So we’re going to ask you to “get BARE.”
That means peeling back the unconscious layers of fear. And then, finding a way to take back the power you, like so many women, gave away all those years ago when you didn’t know any better.
Now that you (we) know better, we can do a whole lot better. And that’s what this podcast is going to focus on: helping you become the best, baddest, highest, biggest, most unstoppable and incomparable version of YOU.
