The Fighter vs. The Writer returns with UFC legend Matt Brown and MMA Fighting senior reporter Damon Martin discussing the latest news including the shocking announcement that the UFC will be cutting ties with USADA at the start of 2024.
Brown offers his perspective from the side of the fighters as well as his biggest concern about the new updated UFC anti-doping program that was announced last week.
We’ll also briefly discuss Dillon Danis’ abysmal performance in a loss to Logan Paul after he spent months talking trash and promising to back it up in the ring.
With UFC 294 now just days away, we will talk about the massive changes to the card where Islam Makhachev now faces Alexander Volkanovski in a rematch while Kamaru Usman accepts a short notice fight against Khamzat Chimaev.
Did Volkanovski make a mistake by taking this fight, especially after he already lost to Makhachev back in February? Brown offers his opinion as well as the chances that Volkanovski pulls off the upset.
