I had many hard working roles when I grew up. BUT I noticed something…if I did overtime or worked public holidays, I’d earn 1.5x or 2x. That got me thinking: why am I suddenly worth double for doing the same job? Eventually, I learned something that changed my life: you’re not paid for the hour, you’re paid for the value you bring to the hour. That’s a confronting idea and we need to explore it.
