Jacob Goldstein is the co-host of NPR's Planet Money and his stories have aired on This American Life, All Things Considered, and Morning Edition. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife, two kids, and a small dog. Jacob has previously worked as a reporter at the Wall Street Journal and the Miami Herald- he’s written about money for the New York Times Magazine, and more recently he has published his book “Money: The True Story of a Made-Up Thing”. And during this episode we’re not only talking about the history and origins of money, but we’re going to dive into where things are today as well as the possible future of money. We run the gamut- from the birth of electrum coins in Greece to Bitcoin today.
During this episode we both enjoyed a Rodenbach Classic. And as we’ve kicked things off with a bang in 2021, we could really use your help to spread the word- let friends and family know about How to Money! Hit the share button, subscribe if you’re not already a regular, and give us a quick review in Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. Help us to spread the word to get more people doing smart things with their money in these difficult times!
