Today is one of our FAVOURITE episodes to date and is so informative. We can't wait for you to dive into today's topic, particularly if you are anxiously questioning your child's speech development.

In this week's episode we interview Speech Pathologist, Alana Frederick and Founder of Hello Friend Speech Pathology. Alana is a qualified Speech Pathologist and a practicing member of Speech Pathology Australia. 

​She has worked as a Speech Pathologist in Private Practice for 9 years, with the past 7 of those being based in Ipswich and its surrounds. 

Alana has also completed a Masters of Autism Studies to gain a better understanding of how to support children with an Autism diagnosis and has participated in additional classes in Auslan to have this as an additional skill.

• What is actually considered speech delay and when should we be seeing a Speech Pathologist?
• What are the most common speech difficulties in young children/toddlers? And what is generally the cause of speech delay?

Welcome to our roller-coaster of emotions! Today we are talking body image in pregnancy, mum isolation, mothers groups (ahem, join ours here) and book clubs! Jess takes about 3 different pledges so let's see how she goes with that and Nicola is gearing up and getting ready for number two to join us in a matter of weeks!

It's been a week! Starting the episode with a breakdown of Nicola's trip to the emergency room with Leo and taking a moment for mother's intuition! We also talk about the strange news that a young girl is claiming to be Madeleine McCann and what little we actually know about the case. 
If we're honest we discussed a whole lot more on this episode but unfortunately Jess' audio had a glitch and we lost the entire second half so enjoy the short but sweet one and we will be back with a full length ep next week!
