Are you selling out by selling on Black Friday? Maybe! Like all things in online business and life, there’s nuance here, but ultimately it boils down to the way you run your business the other 364 days of the year. Yes, consumer culture is toxic, but we can’t take it down by pretending it doesn’t exist, and commerce isn’t going anywhere either. So you can sell—I probably will in my own way—but make sure you’re keeping your people in mind, not just your profits.
