In this episode Uncle Dick joins Josh and the Notorious C.H.A.D. for a possibly inaccurate and mildly humorous chat on the trickle down of dirt bike technology into the mountain bikes we ride today. From the origin story of Charlie Rainbow, to e-bikes, multi-use trail access, mid-ride smoke breaks, proper torque settings and much more, this wandering and more "techy" podcast is worth a listen (but only if you can’t find anything else good on).

The Swegers (a.k.a. “Frat Star” and “Momma Swags”) join the boys for a wild conversation centered loosely around their bucket list bike-tour adventure through Portugal with www.backroads.com. The conversation covers a vast array of topics from Frat Star’s obscure historical facts to the duos’ initial shame, ultimate acceptance, and final appreciation of choosing the e-bike over a standard pedal bike. Their obvious love of Portugal and Backroads bike tours became no-brainer new entries to boy’s bucket lists as the podcast progressed. The Swegers are the most genuine, inviting, worldly, intelligent, and humorous power couple that you’ll ever run across. If you don’t like them, you should get your head checked.

In this episode we gratuitously welcome special guest and gravel bike wunderkind Charles “Turtle” McVicker. Turtle attempts to convince us that every kind of off-road cycling from mountain to gravel was invented in his hometown in Northern California. Charles is witty and extremely knowledgeable about bikes. He’s a solid human, with great hair, and we enjoyed having him on to chat.

The notorious Chad Hoopes joins Mike & Josh as a special guest and emphatic advocate of Trek mountain bikes. The storyline is a worldwide journey that includes fun stories of broken bikes, quail herds, practical jokes, hillbillies, and unfortunate scenarios from Wisconsin to Silicon Valley to Michigan to Arizona to Scotland to Ireland and beyond. Any medical advise discussed on this episode should be categorically ignored. Chads a good dude, we like him, we think you will too…

Heterosexual life partners Brett “The Lunch Lady” Muxen and Jeremy “Bone Daddy” Bohne join Josh for a seriously humorous (and at times rated PG-13) conversation navigating the mysteries of life and the wonders of mountain biking. Sprinkled throughout Muxen attempts to describe the amazing BMC cross country race bike he meticulously spec’d and built and is now selling for a great price. If you like to laugh (or if you just like hot guys), you’ll enjoy this episode.

Under the guise of “scaring away ferocious predators”, Mike & Josh occasionally ride w/ a bluetooth speaker. In this episode they try, and once again fail miserably, to defend this douchebag move. The conversation covers all things music and mountain biking including some “new” science suggesting the many benefits of riding with tunes. If you’ve ever ridden a bike or listened to music, there’s something here for you.

Guest “Punk Rock Dan” Macinnis discusses his recent mountain bike crash and subsequent trip to the ER. Additionally, the boys clearly establish that Dan is actually the most interesting man alive. The conversation flows from Dan’s time as an amateur magician, MIT grad, retired Navy Admiral, all the way through to his recently deceased big box mountain bike adventures and his still kicking vintage Bianchi road bike. Trust us, you’ll enjoy getting to know this guy.

As midwest transplants to the Sonoran Desert, Mike & Josh attempt, and catastrophically fail, to describe the dangers mountain bikers face in the region. How bad they fail is what makes this podcast good, also, they can’t spell to save their lives.
