In honor of the release of a new Marvel movie, Mike talks about what he thinks are the 5 most important films in Superhero hero history. These are not Mike’s favorites but what he believes are the most significant movies to the development and history of the genre. In the Movie Review, Mike gives his thoughts on Captain America: Brave New World. How it’s the first time Anthony Mackie has led a movie, why the trailer led us all astray, are we too overly critical of the MCU and the age-old question: Is Marvel back or dead? In the Trailer Park, Mike talks about the trailer for "Jurassic World Rebirth" starring Scarlett Johansson who leads a team of skilled operatives to the most dangerous place on Earth, an island research facility for the original Jurassic Park. This movie hits theaters July 2nd.

Mike and Kelsey rewatched all 8 Harry Potter movies and broke down the entire franchise from 2 different types of HP fan. Mike ranks all of the moves from his least to most favorite, most memorable character deaths and most iconic moments.  In the Movie Review, Mike talks about Anora. It’s a story about a young woman from Brooklyn, who gets her chance at a Cinderella story when she meets and marries the son of an oligarch.  Mike talks about why it won’t win for Best Picture, why Anora is the character of the year, its explicit use of nudity and why it’s more of a real life depiction of the events of Pretty Woman. In the Trailer Park, Mike talks about Sinners.  It reteams Michael B. Jordan with his "Black Panther", "Creed", and "Fruitvale Station" director Ryan Coogler.  The film follows twin brothers who are trying to leave their troubled past behind them as they return to their hometown for a fresh start. Unfortunately, an even greater evil is waiting for them there.

Mike and Kelsey give their Best and Worst movies they saw in January. They talk about the day they spent watching 6 movies in one day, why Mike is neurotic about planning out meals around, why they can’t believe how much Cameron Diaz’s Netflix deal is worth after seeing her film that made her unretire from acting.  In the Movie Review, Mike talks about Presence from Neon. It’s a horror movie about a family who becomes convinced they are not alone after moving into their new home in the suburbs. Mike talks about how it embraced its 2 million dollar budget, how the horror genre is becoming the most original in Hollywood and if it followed through with being as scary as the trailer made it seem.  In the Trailer Park, Mike talks about Drop which is a new horror movie about airdropping. It’s about a widowed mom who goes on a first date that turns into a living nightmare when she receives phone messages from a mysterious, hooded figure who threatens to kill her young son and sister unless she kills her date.

Mike gives his predictions on who will win, surprises, snubs and he officially endorses a film for Best Picture.  In the Movie Review, Mike keeps it in the Oscars theme and talks about The Brutalist starring Adrien Brody. Escaping postwar Europe, a visionary architect comes to America to rebuild his life, his career, and his marriage. On his own in a strange new country, he settles in Pennsylvania, where a wealthy and prominent industrialist recognises his talent. Was it worth the 3 and a half hour runtime, does the use of AI hurt its chances to win?, how 35mm made it better and why he ended up loving the 15 minute intermission.  In the Trailer Park, Mike talks about the horror comedy The Monkey based on the 1980 short story "The Monkey" by Stephen King.  After stumbling upon their father's vintage toy monkey in the attic, twin brothers Hal and Bill witness a string of horrifying deaths unfolding around them.

Mike shares the movies he is most excited to see in theaters this year.
