The narcissist's genuine emotions were blocked long ago. They have no real warmth, empathy or compassion; they are without mercy. 

Everything is viewed by the narcissist through the narrow prism of his delusional world that ws created and expanded since early childhood. 

The real self of the narcissist is highly regressed at the age of two or younger. Within this psychic structure is a bleak, hollow emptiness of the psychologically damaged real self. 

The false self is bolstered by powerful defense mechanisms: denial, projection, repression, splitting.

Recognizing that you are married to or are a child of a narcissistic parent is a moment of great truth. 

Practice self acceptance and self compassion. Develop strong psychological boundaries. Appreciate your true nature, your authenticity, creativity and integrity.
