The spurned partner who is psychologically fragile may have a breakdown, or develop adrenal fatigue or another chronic illness as a result of constantly being in a extreme state of oxidative stress, in sympathetic mode, fight or flight. Divorces to these individuals are nasty. The narcissist always plays "Hide the money" to avoid any fairness. Narcissists are exceedingly greedy in these circumstances. They use a small army of paid attorneys to make sure that they can win.

To move through this process to freedom, learn everything you can about the narcissistic personality. Remember who you are.
