Season 2 Episode 24:
Accidental death? In July of 2020, Grant Solomon was in his senior year of high school. He was an aspiring collegiate baseball player, had a girlfriend, and attended a beautiful private school in the rolling hills of middle Tennessee. Grant's father was an esteemed former news anchor, turned financial planner, and his mother was an accomplished pharmacist. And life abruptly changed.
On the hot summer morning of July 20, Grant was set to meet his estranged father at a training facility for individual baseball coaching. But within only a couple of minutes of arriving, Grant was lying under his own truck in a rock lined ravine.
Very little is known surrounding the events that took place in those few minutes. What we know, however, is what did NOT happen. His father, sole witness to this event, maintains that Grant was tragically tripped up and dragged down the parking lot embankment, ultimately leading to his death. However, there wasn't ONE scratch on Grant's body. His clothes were void of rips or stains. Oh, but he did have a fatal skull fracture, actually deemed blunt force trauma.
One more thing, his baseball bat is missing.
Join Andrea Up Late and BC Sanders as they talk about the developing story of years of alleged abuse to the family, including his sister who suffered at the hands of their father as well. A school that never spoke to authorities, even though TN is a mandatory reporting state. A well-connected church. And a lot, A LOT, of wealthy, political, and powerful friends.
