In D.C., there were 274 homicides reported in 2023, an increase of 35% over the prior year. Carjackings nearly doubled, and car thefts rose 83%. Violent crime was up nearly 40% for the year, according to data released by the city. D.C. Mayor Bowser defunded the police in the wake of 2020 and now is pleading for more funding to go towards stopping crime. Nonsense Democrat policies lead to higher crime rates, and their solution? D.C. Councilmember Matt Frumin said stopping gun violence must be the "highest priority" for public officials even though D.C. already has some of the strictest gun laws in the nation, and other cities like Chicago and NYC.
Rob argues that 1) Prioritize well-equipped officers to enforce the laws 2) Fund and take care of law enforcement 3) Crack down hard on big crimes and small ones
