Ranui House holds a special place in my heart. Back in 2020, as a 16-year-old undergoing lifesaving chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant in Christchurch, Ranui House was my haven. I was then in need of Ranui House again in February 2022 when I was airlifted out of my outdoor ed course on the West Coast with life threatening tamponade (fluid around the heart - a result of Pericarditis. At Ranui House they understand that when families can stay together, healing happens faster. During my four-month treatment, and later stays having my family by my side meant everything to me.
