When I left you on Friday, I had a full plate of workouts planned over the next few days and high hopes of getting things done. I flew out of the gates determined, and knocked out a very successful Zwift workout ride that I expected would prove much more difficult.
Following that up, I absolutely destroyed my recent 5k best after missing both the 6pm and 8pm run groups. All I wanted to do was check the box and get the work in, yet the results proved to be much, much more.
Riding the wave of momentum into Saturday’s long-ride of 2:00-2:15, once again I had a successful ride. So much so, that I decided to celebrate… on my own… which totally destroyed any chance of me getting my Sunday run in. I thought I’d have time. I thought I’d squeeze it in. I thought it would happen. But upon waking Monday morning, the box remained unchecked.
How much do you bash yourself over the head for missing one workout? How much blame do you take, and how long can you dwell on it before moving on? Is it JUST one workout, or a sign of times to come? I guess we’ll find out…
