Jason Heaton, everyone's favourite diving watch guy, is back! Last time we had the pleasure of Heaton's dulcet tones in our ears, he was talking about his debut novel Depth Charge. Now he's back with a brand new novel: Sweetwater. Sweetwater sees the return of Tusker, the marine archaeologist, but now the action is a bit closer to home: the icy waters of Lake Superior. What hasn't changed, though, is Heaton's brisk adventure thriller tone, which sees the action coming on thick and fast, with the political intrigue as murky as the depths. We don't dive into too many spoilers with Jason, but we do find out how this novel is different to his first, just how much of Tusker is recognisably Jason, and more. Of course, we also chat about the rest of Jason's life, from dipping his toes back into watches and how the impossibly cool podcast, The Grey NATO, is going from strength to strength. And before all that, we chat about why Zodiac nails the creative use of colour.

Jean-Claude Biver is one of the most important individuals in modern watchmaking, a man with a legendary CV and a long legacy. These days, though, it's his own name on the dial, and when Felix had a surprise interview at Dubai Watch Week, it was finding out how Biver senior has transitioned from running mega watch groups to working with a small family business. Of course, when you get the chance to chat with someone who's done it all, you ask the big questions about the future of the watch industry and whether or not it's selfish to put your own name on the dial.
But before all this, we get the second instalment of our chat with Zodiac's Mike Pearson and find out why the brand is focussing on its core.

Alan Bloore — better known as Hammer — is a legend in the world of collecting, particularly when it comes to Panerai. He's been collecting watches since the 1980s, and, in a few days, Hammer's watch collection is going under the hammer at Sotheby's New York. Hammer is selling because, in his own words, "it's time to get my affairs in order."
We talk about Hammer's lifelong love of watches, Panerai and the Paneristi forum, as a maritime accident that resulted in a spinal cord injury and the first of many doctors asking, 'are your affairs in order'. Nearly 20 years later, Hammer has lived an incredible second life, a life in which watches — and the watch community — played a central role. Hammer talks about what watches mean for him, and the connections he's made based on these fascinating machines. In 2019, he had another accident, and doctors once again started to ask if his affairs were in order. For Hammer, a large part of his life's affairs are his watches, and with this sale, he can say that yes, they are.
Before chatting to Hammer, we talk to Mike Pearson, Zodiac's International Director of Brand Development, about the brand's history, and how they're interpreting it today

Felix is back from sunny Dubai, and he's got plenty of tales to tell. Andy and Felix debrief about the latest edition of this regional watch show with an ever-increasing international reach. From some absolutely wild wrist-spotting to even wilder weather, there's a lot going on at DWW, and that's before we get to the formal programming and watch releases. Andy takes a shine to the slimmer new Streamliner from Moser, and Felix chats about the non-watch release moments of the week that stood out.

Happy mid-November, everyone! We're slowly winding our way towards the end of the year, so we thought we'd check in and catch up with all the happenings and drama in the world of horology. Because make no mistake, there are happenings and drama a-plenty at the moment. Patek Philippe released a watch with a face on it, Andy almost bought a Greubel Forsey, and we have some thoughts about the GPHG winners. Finally, the Timepiece Gentleman faces jail time, as the FBI has arrested Anthony Farrer, charging him with wire fraud.

Worn & Wound has always had a clear point of difference from other watch websites, and Senior Editor Zach Kazan is one of the team who's making sure that Worn & Wound maintains a strong editorial voice. We chat to Zach about how his taste in watches has evolved from clean classics to incorporating funkier options like Worn & Wound's recent laser tag-inspired Zodiac collaboration. Beyond watches, we also chat to Zach about the wonderful world of modern cinema, getting his take on Michael Mann's upcoming sequel to the iconic heist flick Heat. If you want more, don't worry. We chat about Alone, Ed Sheeran, and various collab watches.

Felix and Andy catch up on what's been happening on and off the wrist. We chat through the latest watch releases from TAG Heuer and Nomos, as well as ID Genève's sustainable mission and new celebrity backer in the form of Leo DiCaprio. On top of that, Andy talks us through corporate shenanigans, according to Ms Tweed. Felix talks about the persistently bubbling drama that is Only Watch. There are also some new Artem straps out, which are as flexible as they are fantastic. On top of that, Andy deconstructs David Beckham, and we hype up Discord.

Today, we chat with Sylvain Berneron, a talented watch designer who — unusually for the Swiss watch industry — has dual responsibilities. He's in charge of design at Breitling, spending his days working on the latest evolutions of some of the most iconic sports chronographs ever made. On top of that, he's also the founder of his own watch brand, Berneron, which has debuted the impressive, elegant Mirage, a shaped watch with a shaped movement that challenges many of the established conventions of watch design. Berneron explains the design and the very specific decisions that went into the Mirage and what his future plans for the Berneron brand are. Before that, Andy and Felix chat about Beckham, broken bones, Breguet, and falling down video rabbit holes.

Any episode of OT: featuring one of the Collective Horology gang is a guaranteed good time, and today's chat with Asher Rapkin is no exception. Ostensibly, Asher is on to talk about his latest release, an impressive, alternate history take on a Minerva monopusher. But even before we talk about what makes the watch stand out, we take a long and meandering trip through the industry's state, collectors' habits, and (naturally) Lou Bega.
