On Instagram, life as a digital nomad looks perfect…the epic destinations, the freedom, the adventures. However, while digital nomad life is filled with some of the most amazing “pinch me” moments, it doesn’t come without its drawbacks.

On the Digital Nomad Experts podcast, we like to share both the highs AND the true lows with you…so that you have real expectations of what your life will be like when you begin living as a digital nomad.

As 2022 comes to an end, Jeff, Diego and Marisa take a look back at 2022, and share some of their favorite moments, destinations and experiences…as well as some of their least favorite experiences and travel mess ups. You'll get a lot of laughs as these 3 goofballs recap the good, the bad, and the ugly of their travels this year.

  • Favorite destinations: Marisa went on wild safaris in Namibia and feared for her life sleeping on top of a camper van surrounded by wild animals.
  • Best thing that happened: Diego got engaged and Jeff started a North America- South America relationship.
  • Best food: Jeff ate flaming cheese pasta from a giant wheel of cheese.
  • Best adventure: Diego meets a pirate who runs the most epic quad biking adventure on the beach at Costa Rica.
  • Worst accommodations: Marisa stayed in spider hell and had to change rooms in Africa.
  • Pinch me moments: Jeff brought his brother along with him to see what the digital nomad life looks like.
  • Worst travel moments: Marisa punched a small hole in her leg falling off a scooter and was bedridden for a month
  • Travel mess-ups: Diego ran out of pages in his passport and had to go home to add more.
