Week #5 of the Frankie and Jess Podcast. Frankie and Jess talked to one of the BEST (if not THE best) mascots in any sports franchise, Jon Absey, former Utah Jazz Bear. Part 2 of our 2-part conversation. Jon talks about his experience as the Jazz Bear for 25 years and how new management came in and made changes just to make changes. He talks about getting written up as the Jazz Bear for something he had been doing for 25 years. The new boss didn't want The Bear getting all of the attention. Jon knew he had a target on his back when things almost got physical, ultimately getting him fired. Frankie and Jess couldn't believe it when Jon told them there's now more than one bear. Wait until you hear this. It took several bears to replace Jon. Because he's irreplaceable. Jon also shared his thoughts about having father's guilt with his 3 daughters. Such a sweet guy with a huge heart. An incredible conversation.
