Buying your first home is daunting, especially when you're building it too. But fortunately, this week's diarist had a very positive experience! Resigned to the thought they'd always be a renter, they decided to explore the option to build (on the advice of their real estate agent). Thanks to a first homeowner's grant and some very hard saving, they were soon on their way to a home of their own making.
