It isn't easy raising children but raising a teenage girl has been especially hard for me. I knew that I would struggle, growing up as a tom boy I never really got the whole "girlie girl" thing...but raising a teenage girl with the added pressure of social media! That has been an even bigger challenge than I had anticipated. These poor girls are presented with more social pressure than I ever was growing up and it is effecting their mental health, self esteem, and so much more.
