• The best piece of advice Lisa can give to people starting out in business is that you should work with people you trust.
• When recruiting, stop and breathe before you do it. If you get a good gut feeling about someone, then go with it, there’s usually a reason you feel that way.
• Look for values that you share. You can teach someone skills but you can’t teach them to fit into your business.
• If you spread your advertising over multiple platforms then you’re more likely to find quality candidates.
• When writing a job description, be very clear about what you need, if you think you just need an extra pair of hands then re-evaluate.

She also covers initial things to address to start the process of planning your business activities so that you can transition to working ON your business and not IN your business.
