  • Business Innovation and The Creative Process (Develop Your Style Part 2)
Today on the show we're talking about the creative process and how to use this to develop your style. We're going to talk about why your creative process is so important to develop your distinct and salient brand assets so that when people see a piece of content from you they immediately recognise that it is yours because of your unique you-ness.

    Key discussion points:

    • Recap of the 3 aspects of developing your style
    • What is creativity
    • What does it take to be creative?
    • Why creativity and innovation are important for brand and business growth
    • The 3 Cs to Developing your creative process

    Today's questions:

    Dexter Roona in London asks:

"How do you find the perfect name for your company that is both professional, catchy and easily branded?"

    Mike Lynch asks:

"How do I position myself as an artist when doing business and using a business name instead of my own? Should I state that I am a studio and refer to myself as "we"? Should I be transparent and state that my business is me and me alone?"

(Remember, each Wednesday I run a post on LinkedIn for question submissions to get audience votes on their favourite question for each week's topic!)

    A quote to share:

"Everything we know and everything we do comes from a combination of our genetic predisposition - nature, and the world out there - nurture. The creative process isn't about cutting ourselves off from the world, it is the very opposite, it is about standing on the shoulders of giants and bringing our unique combination of inherited traits and lived experiences to contribute to developing and evolving ideas." - Lauren Kress

  • Create Your Online Training Program with Cat Morrissey, The Iconic Coach™
In today's episode I speak with Cat Morrissey, The Iconic Coach™ to talk about how to turn your knowledge into a premium online training program.

This is something that there is so much bad advice out there about so to get the answers that I know so many are seeking I thought we'd do an episode to get to the bottom of what you need to do to grow your brand in order to make your online program launch a success!

Cat Morrissey is an absolute authority in this space.

After launching her first online program in 2015 helping Aussie property owners change their lives by creating profit on ordinary houses, her achievements have landed her on interviews with major television networks around the country.

In this episode she shares the 5 steps you need to take to launch your program - they are:

    Step 1: Innovate

Cat shares how she used her knowledge from her current business and innovated property education by sharing her entire 35 day journey directly onto her Facebook business page. She showed her audience step-by-step exactly what she was doing, provided real estate valuations, filmed the open day and recorded the sale live for undeniable PROOF.

    Step 2: Gain Credibility

Credibility does not come with age, maturity or 20 years in a profession, it comes from getting real-time results that are either monetary or in some other way life-changing. To become a credible expert, master your skills, get results and testimonials. Build trust. Do this by gently by continually creating content that speaks to your ideal audience. On average it takes 5-13 times in front of your target to earn their trust.

    Step 3: Prove your authority

Create valuable pieces of content that people want to share. This isn't to feed your ego but to provide value that solves a problem. Here's what will happen when you share valuable content - you'll be asked to join podcasts (like this one) get media stories and all of a sudden you become the hunted - not the hunter.

    Step 4: Educate

Show your audience you know what they need and educate them - to crack your first 6-figure's (or even your next 6 figures!) you know you must create a different way. And it's not by working hard.

Step 5. Create your online training program

Now it's time to create your premium program! This is about creating an expert authority business without burning yourself out. You don't need to try to figure everything out on your own or even be particularly good with technology. When you get to this point it's about creating a system.
