Today we’re replaying episode 156 to reshare tips on batching content for your blog, Instagram, and other social media channels. I'm (Emma) is currently on vacation in Europe so I'm replaying some of my favorite episodes!
If you’re balancing content creation with a side hustle, school, or full-time job, and want to be able to share new content on a regular basis, this episode is for you.
What does it mean to batch content?
Batching is referred to as “completing a small set of tasks in a period of time”. In blogging, we batch content: which is photos, written content like captions, blog posts, and podcast outlines, to be more efficient with our time.
Tip 1: Spend one hour at the beginning of the week writing Instagram captions for that week.
Tip #2: Plan your feed out at the beginning of the week.
There are great tools out there like Planoly or Unum to help you plan your Instagram feed.
The benefits of planning your feed out ahead of time:
· You aren’t scrambling that day to find a photo to post.
· You know that the photo is going to look nice/cohesive with your feed before you post it.
· You’ll be less stressed knowing what photos are coming up next to be published.
