Today’s episode is a replay because… I have covid! Yes, you may have noticed we didn’t release an episode last week and we just didn’t have a choice in the matter, neither of us were well enough to even put out a replay and I had no voice, so I couldn’t even record an intro.

In this episode, I’m interviewing Arin Nicole, who you may know better as Moonli on Instagram. Arin is a functional hormone and endometriosis nutritionist with a particular interest in working with women and uterus owners who deal with hormone and inflammatory issues such as endometriosis, fibroids, period pain, mood swings, PCOS, and more. Her aim is to heal the root cause of people's symptoms through holistic nutrition.

Arin has both endometriosis and fibroids, and is now in a place where her two conditions are really well managed and no longer cause her symptoms. I invited her on to talk specifically about fibroids, given that in the US, July is Fibroids Awareness Month.

In this discussion, we talk about -

What are fibroids

The association between endometriosis and fibroids

The signs and symptoms off fibroids

How can someone get diagnosed with fibroids

What causes fibroids

The conventional treatment options vs. Arin’s holistic approach to managing fibroids.

Please be aware that we do talk about dietary changes in this episode, in particular, lowering alcohol consumption. This is comes up when I ask Arin about her approach to managing fibroids, so feel free to skip this section if it’s particularly triggering for you, though we do discuss this with a balanced and realistic approach.

Can you help me save Jelly the kitten? We are currently travelling, working remotely, and within 24 hours of arriving in Montenegro, we met Jelly. He was extremely thin, with a distended stomach and a little lollypop head and bulging eyes.

The vets have given us a very stark picture of the reality. If Jelly goes back on the streets, his condition will deteriorate and he will suffer until he eventually passes away. We have been told to find him a home where he can continue getting care or put him to sleep.

We have found him a foster home and a forever home in the UK, but the total cost is over £1200. We have already spent hundreds on vet visits getting him to this point, and need your help, if you can.

If you are able to and want to support, you can donate and read Jelly’s full story on our Go Fund Me page. I truly cannot express how much your support means to me, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
