Patriot militia occupy Fort Ninety-Six on the South Carolina Frontier while the loyalist militia are away. The militia return in large numbers, but cannot overcome the patriot defenses. On Nov. 21, 1775, after running short of ammunition and water, both sides agree to go home and forget about the whole thing.
